If you’ve come face-to-face with the dreaded 80029564 error code during the installation of GTA V from PSN you’ve no doubt been banging your head up the wall with frustration.
Well, there may still be some light at the end of the tunnel. While Sony advises customers to turn the PS3 on and off and see if that rectifies the issue, Virgin Media has been offering some more constructive advice.
The U.K.based ISP says:
“This may be down to load on the server at that point in time, in which case you can wait and attempt to download the file when the servers are less busy.
“There may be a high level of traffic caused by other internet users, so again you may want to attempt the download at a different time.
“If you continue to get the issue you can try resetting the modem and router for a number of minutes, and then restart them. Once this is done try re-establishing a connection between the router and your PlayStation 3 from the beginning.”
So, you can either wait or try re-setting your router. If we hear of any other ways to get past the issue we’ll update this article.
Rockstar has not yet commented on the issue.
