Ubisoft has revealed during its latest earnings call overnight that Assassin’s Creed Shadows recorded the second-highest day 1 sales revenue for the series to date, behind only Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
The French publisher also revealed that Assassin’s Creed Shadows set a new record for its day performance on the PlayStation Store, and players have also logged 160 million hours in the game since its launch in March 2025.
Player sentiment has been overwhelmingly positive, with an average score of 91/100 across first-party stores, reflecting the game’s excellent quality. To date, consumer spending has clearly outperformed Assassin’s Creed Odyssey with the player count also outperforming.

Earlier this month, Ubisoft announced its Year 1 roadmap plans for the game, which includes a New Game Plus option, Photo Mode, and an additional difficulty setting. There’s also a major expansion in the form of Claws of Away, which introduces more than 10 hours of new content, and comes free for those who preordered the game.
