Jeff Grubb has reignited previous rumors that Square Enix is working on a Guardians of the Galaxy video game.
Speaking during his latest YouTube show, Jeff Grubb’s Game Mess, the journalist revealed that that the superhero title is indeed in the pipeline, although wasn’t sure if it would be showcased during E3 2021 or not.

Rumors on a Guardians of the Galaxy game date back some four years, where it was reported that Eidos Montreal were working on the project. Since then, Square Enix has published its Marvel’s Avengers title from Crystal Dynamics, which is now available for multiple platforms and PC.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has released two Guardians of the Galaxy movies to date, with a third in the works. Furthermore, the characters have turned up in Avengers: Infinity Ward and Avengers: Endgame, and are slated to show up in Thor: Love and Thunder.
Square Enix has not officially confirmed a Guardians of the Galaxy game yet, grab a teaspoon of salt for the time being.
