Halo: Campaign Evolved Release Date Reportedly Set For Late July 2026

A Halo dataminer has revealed what is heavily rumoured to be the early access and release date for Halo: Campaign Evolved.

Posting on X, grunt.api has caught the attention of fans with a pair of maths equations: “EA: (18 × 7 × (MMXX + VI) mod 31) + 1” and “OR: (8 × 7 × (MMXX + VI) mod 31) + 1).” It is believed that the ‘EA’ means Early Access and OR refers to official release, with the maths conundrum relating to the dates for each.

People were quick to solve the equations and posted in the comments section that Halo: Campaign Evolved Early Access is set for July 23, while the game will get a general launch on July 28. This is all speculation however, as nothing official has been confirmed by Microsoft; however, the date does align with previous reports that the game is due out over the summer.

Halo: Campaign Evolved is a full remake of the single-player for the original 2001 genre-defining shooter, Halo: Combat Evolved, offering spruced up visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5, new missions set prior to the events of the campaign, and nine new weapons. While Halo has already received a makeover of sorts with Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition in 2011, that was more of a remaster, while this is a ground-up remake featuring completely redone assets such as cinematics, audio and presentation.
