When EA announced that the oft-delayed European iteration of Rock Band would cost almost double the price of its North American counterpart, Europeans were not so pleased to say the least. With the PlayStation 3 version scheduled for release around Europe this month, Harmonix has taken it upon itself to lower the price of the bundle by a decent chunk of change. Originally priced at €170, the (not so) Special Edition bundle has been reduced to a more lenient, yet still overpriced €140.
As for the standalone product, don’t expect a price drop on that front. At least the European version contains nine extra tracks — which are currently available on the Rock Band store for download in the U.S. — on the disc for free. They are as follows.
