Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead Studios has acknowledged that fans are craving for more challenging endgame content, with community manager Katherine Baskin stating that the studio is “looking for ways” to up the difficulty.
Taking to the game’s official Discord, one fan commented, “Currently there are a lot of enemies that don’t really feel like they’re actually heavy enemies, all but two enemies get one-tapped by recoilless. The majority of the threat of the Leviathan was its ragdoll but after that was removed they don’t really have any effect on the player.

In response, Baskin revealed that Arrowhead are cooking behind the scenes to provide some extra challenge: “I can’t really say exact plans (obviously) but we are looking for ways to provide more challenge to players.”
Helldivers 2 was released for the PS5 and PC in February 2024 and is one of the most successful multiplayer games of the generation. Recently, it was confirmed that Arrowhead is bringing Helldivers 2 to the Xbox Series X/S in August, the same month that Gears of War: Reloaded is hitting PS5.
