Supermassive Games has announced a Hidden Agenda release date, confirming the PlayStation 4 title will launch in the U.S. on October 24 and in Europe on October 25.
Powered by the Unreal Engine 4, Hidden Agenda sees gamers hopping into the shoes of Becky Marnie, a homicide detective, and district attorney Felicity Graves, who are attempting to crack the case of The Trapper, a notorious serial killer.
Hidden Agenda will place heavy emphasis on choice, with Quick-Time Events used to determine the outcome of the story, and even determining whether a character lives or dies.
PlayLink functionality is a major part of the experience, with other gamers able to join in the action and vote for a specific decision via their Android or iOS smartphone. At one stage, one participant receives a Hidden Agenda (hence the game’s title), aimed to stir up conflict between other players, all of whom must attempt to prevent it from happening.
Supermassive Games is of course best known to PS4 gamers as the studio behind the critically acclaimed teen horror, Until Dawn, and its PlayStation VR spin-off Until Dawn: Rush of Blood.
