Hideo Kojima’s tech tour hits the U.K.

Metal Gear mastermind Hideo Kojima has touched down in London, U.K., for the next leg of his on-going tech tour with PlayStation 4 architect, Mark Cerny.

The Kojima Productions boss has been spending the last week or so visiting various Sony-owned developers across the United States, including Sucker Punch, Sony Santa Monica, Sony San Diego, and more.

Kojima-san is expected to use his time in the U.K. to pay a visit to SCE London Studio and Media Molecule among others. Presumably, the legendary game developer will make his way to Paris to meet up with Quantic Dream (Beyond: Two Souls, Heavy Rain) and Amsterdam to visit Guerrilla Games (Killzone).

2015 proved to be an eventful period for Kojima-san, having been involved in a highly-publicised spat with Konami, which resulted in him leaving the company late last year. His final project with the Japanese software giant was appropriately enough, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, which has gone on to become a massive success.

Despite his long-running working relationship with Konami coming to an end, Kojima-san was quickly to establish his own independent studio, with his first project being a PS4-exclusive. Not much is known about the game at present, though Kojima-san has confirmed it isn’t related to Silent Hills or Metal Gear.

Kojima-san has also recently expressed interest in virtual reality gaming, though stopped short of confirming he has anything in the pipeline for PlayStation VR.
