Hitman 3 developer IO Interactive has added persistent shortcuts in the upcoming stealth sequel, which echoes a similar feature seen in the Dark Souls franchise developed by FromSoftware.
The news comes via a fresh Hitman 3 video from Game Informer, which shows that Agent 47’s latest adventure will allow you to unlock shortcuts that can be accessed from a specific direction, which will then remain open for you to exploit in future playthroughs.
Dark Souls featured similar shortcuts, which proved valuable after you died allowing you to quickly retrace your steps without having to progress through the entire level all over again. I mean, no one likes backtracking, right?
