Pride and Prejudice star Rupert Friend has been cast in the role of Agent 47 for the upcoming Hitman flick.
The bald assassin was originally going to be portrayed by Fast & Furious star Paul Walker, as PSU reported in February last year. Tragically however, Walker was killed last November in an automobile accident in California, and so the role had to be recast.
According to Variety (via VG247), Friend will now play the titular role in the upcoming Agent 47, which is a sequel to the original 2007 Hitman movie starring Timothy Olyphant.
Agent 47 is Fox International production and will be directed by Aleksander Bach, with a script penned by Skip Woods and Michael Finch.
