Hollow Knight: Silksong developer Team Cherry has announced that the game has been delayed out of the first half of the year.
Speaking on Twitter, Team Cherry’s Matthew Griffin confirmed that the game has been pushed back, although at this point it was highly unlikely it would turn up this late in the planned launch window.
Hey gang, just a quick update about Silksong. We had planned to release in the 1st half of 2023, but development is still continuing. We’re excited by how the game is shaping up, and it’s gotten quite big, so we want to take the time to make the game as good as we can. Expect more details from us once we get closer to release.
Hollow Knight: Silksong is currently in development for PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Game Pass. The game is set to feature over 150 different foes to battle, as well as a brand new kingdom to explore and a Silk Soul mode, which is a new difficulty that applies major changes to the game after your initial playthrough.
