Horizon Forbidden West Studio Hasn’t Thought About The Series Without Lance Reddick

Guerrilla Games‘ Ben McCaw has touched base on the tragic passing of Horizon Forbidden West actor Lance Reddick admitting the studio hasn’t even thought about the future of the series without his involvement.

Speaking with VGC, McCaw made it clear that the studio is still coming to terms with Reddick’s passing, and is in no position to think about what the future will hold without him.

We’re really just sort of focused on absorbing this tragedy and sending out our thoughts to his family. We’ve not thought about it. It’s not really the time to think about it. We just miss him.

The site also got a bit cheeky and asked McCaw about what’s next for Aloy, to which he responded:

(Laughing) There is actually material in the Burning Shores about this. I mean, we really tried to drop some hints, particularly in the epilogue of the Burning Shores.

In addition to his work on the Horizon franchise, Reddick also portrayed Commander Zavala in Bungie’s Destiny and Destiny 2, and was a big fan of the series, too. Reddick tragically passed away on March 17, 2023 at his home in Los Angeles, reportedly from heart disease.
