Speaking on the PlayStation Blog, Jan-Bart van Been, Studio Director and Art & Animation Director for Guerrilla Games, confirmed that the upcoming Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered will work with your existing saves from the PS4 version of the game.
For those that have already played it, we’ve made sure that your old save games will work; so this is a great opportunity to dive into New Game+ or get back into Photo Mode with all your previously unlocked outfits and customizations.
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered was announced during yesterday’s State of Play broadcast, and features a wealth of improvements over the 2017 version of the game. These include full use of the DualSense’s unique functions including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, re-recorded dialogue, improved lighting, textures, and upgraded character models.

Beyond that, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered will offer a new range of visuals features when played on the PS5 Pro, promising to deliver ‘ultra-high fidelity at blazing fast frame rates.’
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is pencilled in for release on October 31, 2024 for PS5 and PC.
