At Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026, Genshin Impact developer HoyoVerse announced it’s latest effort – Nodus Fall – and it looks completely different from anything the Chinese studio has put out previously.
Miles away from the vibrant anime stylings of previous titles such as Honkai Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero, this latest title looks much more akin to a hybrid of Dark Souls and Dragon’s Dogma II – and all powered by Epic’s Unreal Engine 5 technology.
Easy on the eyes and appropriately grim-dark, Nodus Fall has players taking on the role of a magical Weaver to defeat a mysterious horde of ancient foes which threaten the very existence of the world itself, encouraging them to team up with other Weavers to get the job done, Monster Hunter style.
