Humanity is the upcoming title from Enhance, the studio behind Tetris Effect and Rez Infinite, two games that are each on their own transcendent colourful and wonderful experiences.
Humanity already seems like it’ll fall into a similar category when it releases on May 16, 2023, but just to give you a proper idea of what it’ll be like, executive producer Mark MacDonald and user experience director CJ spend 25 minutes doing a deep dive on gameplay, user stages, and stage creation.
They also go a bit into the story that you’ll play through, which slowly peels back the mystery of why you’ve woken up one morning as a shining Shiba Inu tasked with guiding humanity to a determined goal, but nothing all-to spoiler-y.
The video goes through a full range of different mechanics you’ll engage with while solving puzzles, and shows how at times Humanity is also very much an action game and a platformer.
