Hunt Showdown PS5 Version & Engine Upgrade Will Be Detailed Later In 2024

Crytek has seemingly delayed the Hunt Showdown PS5 release and engine upgrade to later in the year, according to a post on the game’s official Facebook page.

Responding to a fan who asked about when we can expect the update, which was originally scheduled to launch around Spring 2024, the company said it will have more to share later this year. In other words, the update isn’t coming out just yet.

Progress is indeed underway on the engine upgrade. We look forward to sharing more details with you later this year.

The Hunt Showdown native PS5 version was originally announced back in January and planned to launch in April, offering a number of improvements including an engine upgrade, which support higher fidelity assets and visual effects, as well as HDR and AMD’s upscaling FSR 2.1 tech.

Crytek had previously released a 60 FPS patch for PS5 users in November 2021, allowing the PS4 version of the game to run smoother when played via backwards compatibility.
