Huntdown PS4 – Everything You Need To Know

The Huntdown PS4 release date is upon us, with developer Easy Trigger Games’ frantic shooter also now available on PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.

As such, we thought it would be an ideal opportunity to give you the lowdown on Huntdown now that the Bounty Hunting title is causing a ruckus on Sony’s current-gen powerhouse.

Huntdown PS4 – Everything You Need To Know

Huntdown utilises a gorgeous retro-inspired 16-bit aesthetic that recalls the classic Sega Mega Drive and SNES era, all hand-drawn and animated while running at a blistering 60fps. Players are invited to tackle the game solo or with mates in co-op mode, as you run, jump and battle your way through 80s-inspired urban locations.

Along the way, players will be mixing it up with punks, organised hockey hooligans, and crime bosses that will surely have fans of Streets of Rage lapping up the action in its familiarity. There’s 20 stages in total, each one packed with unique enemies and a huge bounty to collect.

Huntdown PS4 release date is finally with us

There’s three Bounty Hunters to select from:

First up is Anna Conda, an ex-command and firearms expert that has been trained to assassinate without question or mercy. Next is John Sawyer, who previously worked as a Special Forces cop and has lost so many limbs during combat that he’s been fitted with robot parts.

Finally, there’s Mow Man, a modified recon droid that has been stolen and outfitted with banned software. He’s quite happy to collect cash in exchange for putting bodies on mortuary slabs.

Check out the trailer below and an official blurb:

In the mayhem-filled streets of the future where criminal gangs rule and cops fear to tread, only the bounty hunters can free the city from the corrupt fist of felony. Lay waste to the criminal underworld and make a killing in this hard boiled action comedy arcade shooter.
