IGN is claiming that a successor to the PlayStation Portable is definitely in the works despite reports to the contrary.
Citing “several credible sources,” the website states that the new handheld console will boast a number of improvements over its predecessor, including an iPhone wide-screen multi touch interface for both in game and menu control. No additional information was provided.
Rumours of a PSP2 have been in copious supply lately, though Sony has continually denied that the new handheld is in development. Unsurprisingly, when contacted by IGN, a company rep said, "We can’t comment on rumors or speculation."
