Indivisible intro to be done by Kill la Kill anime’s Studio Trigger and Adult Swim’s Titmouse

Publisher 505 Games announced the opening animated sequence of Indivisible, an action RPG developed by Lab Zero of Skullgirls fame, will be produced by Emmy-winning animation production company Titmouse and acclaimed Japanese anime studio, Studio Trigger.

In this international collaboration, Titmouse will be in charge of storyboarding while Trigger will handle the actual animation of the intro video, with director Yoh Yoshinari at the helm.

Titmouse is best known for being behind the hit Adult Swim animated shows such as Venture Bros and Metalocalypse. Formed in 2011 by former employees of legendary anime studio Gainax, Studio Trigger has made such unique anime like Kill la Kill, Kiznaiver, Space Patrol Luluco, and Little Witch Academia.

Yoshinari served as director on Little Witch Academia, handled character designs for the Valkyrie Profile series, and previously worked on Gainax shows Neon Genesis Evangelion and FLCL.

More info on the game:

Indivisible stars Ajna (AHZH-na), a girl who sets out on a globe-spanning journey to discover the truth behind her mysterious powers. On her quest, she is joined by a diverse cast of unique heroes, who grant her new abilities to traverse the environments and defeat the enemies they encounter along the way.

Built around the colorful characters and deep gameplay Lab Zero is known for, Indivisible takes a fresh spin on action/RPG gameplay, featuring a storyline inspired by Southeast Asian and other world mythologies.

Lab Zero’s trademark feature-quality 2D hand-drawn animation and a lush soundtrack from legendary Secret of Mana composer Hiroki Kikuta further enrich and enhance the game.

After a successful, nearly-$2 million Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign, Indivisible is an indie action RPG worth keeping your eye on. I can’t wait to see Lab Zero tackle use its experience with fighting games, especially for combat, movement and platforming, in a new genre. Indivisible is currently set for release in January 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, and Linux.
