InFamous: morality acts as "tent-pole feature to gameplay"

Speaking with Eurogamer.net, Sucker Punch game director Nate Fox has revealed that the choices players will face during inFamous are not going to be simply black and white and that morality will act as a "tent-pole feature to gameplay."

"There are moral choices available to the player, but I don’t want to ruin any surprises," said Fox.

"Morality matters in our game as a tent-pole feature to gameplay. We’re not joking around with it. Hopefully you’ll have to put down the controller at some point and think about what you want to do."

Admittedly we’ve heard this song and dance before with past titles claiming to give players choices that will individually have direct effects with the outcome of the game, though only a few have actually delivered. Let’s hope Fox’s promise rings true.

InFamous is due out exclusively on PlayStation 3 next year.
