Insomniac Is Beginning To Move More Resources To Marvel’s Wolverine With Spider-Man 2’s Release On The Horizon

Insomniac is very arguably the crown-jewel studio for PlayStation Studios after it’s been practically carrying the PS5 in terms of first-party support.

Its next and most anticipated title, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is set to arrive on October 20, 2023, and with its release now on the horizon, the studio is beginning to move more resources and developers to its next highly anticipated project, Marvel’s Wolverine.

Senior cinematic animator at Insomniac, Tommy Mann announced on Twitter that they’ll be working on Wolverine moving forward, and it’s a clear sign that Insomniac is shifting its focus.

It’s exciting news for PlayStation players, as Insomniac has not missed with its last few releases, going all the way back to the first Spider-Man game on PS4, to Miles Morales, and the latest Ratchet & Clank game.

Wolverine has appeared in his fair share of games over the years, though there’s yet to be a singular title that really did an excellent job of taking advantage of his abilities and the kind of experience possible.

Insomniac’s three-pronged stab at it could very well be that singular title, and with Insomniac shifting towards it, hopefully that’s a sign it won’t be too long until we’re able to step into Logan’s boots.
