Leaker NatetheHate2 has claimed that Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is targeting a 2027 release, although keep in mind that nothing official has been announced yet by Naughty Dog.
While the tipster didn’t go into any further details about its planned release window, it does align with previous speculation about when we’ll see Intergalactic. Back in 2025, it was stated by Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier that “Intergalactic is not coming out in 2026,” coming in response to speculation from Colin Moriarty that the game could come out by the end of this year.
Back in April, Tati Gabrielle, the actress who portrays the lead character in Naughty Dog’s upcoming sci-fi adventure, commented that the project is “such a different side of Naughty Dog,” and feels that “people are going to get really excited for.”
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet was announced during The Game Awards 2024 and will take place thousands of years in the future, with players following a bounty hunter named Jordan A. Mun (Tati Gabrielle) who is on the hunt for a crime syndicate while stranded on a remote planet. The game is the first original IP from developer Naughty Dog since 2013’s The Last of Us.
