Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet Will Be Fully Revealed In 2027, Confirms Naughty Dog

Naughty Dog will fully reveal Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet in 2027, studio head Neil Druckmann has confirmed in a post on the developer’s website.

Druckmann acknowledged that it’s been a while since the game was first announced and fans are eager to learn more. However, we’re going to have to see the rest of the year out before the team is ready to share more info.

So we want to set expectations: we’re going to be quiet for the rest of this year. In 2027, that changes. We’ll fully reveal Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet and give you a proper look at Jordan’s wild sci-fi adventure. We know it’s been a long time since we’ve had much to share with you. We don’t take your continued support for granted.

Intergalactic was originally announced during 2024’s The Game Awards, and is the first new IP from Naughty Dog since The Last of Us. Earlier this month, it was revealed that motion capture filming on the project had wrapped, although a release date for the game still remains elusive.

Intergalactic is set around 2,000 years in the future during an alternate universe where advanced space travel was available during the mid-1980s. The game follows Jordan A. Mun (Tati Gabrielle), a bounty hunter tracking the legendary Five Aces criminal syndicate who becomes stranded on a remote planet named Sempiria. The planet has been cut off off from outside contact for over 600 years, with players following Jordan as she battles hostile forces while unearthing the history of the planet and its people, all while looking for a means of escape.
