Naughty Dog has revealed in a post on BlueSky that motion capture filming has now officially wrapped on Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, with the studio accompanying the post with an image of lead actor Tati Gabrielle.
“That is a wrap on the very ambitious Intergalactic cinematic shoot! This cast killed it! Cannot wait to show you their incredible work when the time is right!,” reads the post. We’re still without a release date for Intergalactic, but reliable leaker NateTheHate has claimed the ambitious sci-fi title is targeting a 2027 launch.
Back in late August this year, it was revealed that longtime Naughty Dog collaborator and prolific voice actor, Robin Atkin Downes, had joined the cast for Intergalactic in an unknown role.
Naughty Dog originally announced Intergalactic during 2024’s The Game Awards, and marks the developer’s first new IP since 2013’s The Lats of Us.
The game takes place around 2,000 years in the future during an alternate universe where advanced space travel was available during the mid-1980s. The game follows Jordan A. Mun (Tati Gabrielle), a bounty hunter tracking the legendary Five Aces criminal syndicate who becomes stranded on a remote planet named Sempiria. The planet has been cut off off from outside contact for over 600 years, with players following Jordan as she battles hostile forces while unearthing the history of the planet and its people, all while looking for a means of escape.
