IO Interactive And James Bond Are A ‘Match Made In Heaven,’ Says MGM

Project 007 developer IO Interactive has been described by MGM as the perfect fit for helming the British spy’s latest video game outing, with its stealth-action pedigree and use of the James Bond property billed as a ‘match made in heaven.’

Speaking with GI.biz, Robert Marick, MGM’s VP for Global Consumer Products & Experiences, and Matthew Suser, who serves as Director of Interactive Business Development, spoke about the importance of finding a suitable developer to help tell an origins story for Bond.

In particular, Suser went into detail about IO and how they believe they are more than up to the task, with MGM obviously excited about Project 007 as a whole.

It all comes down to identifying the right development partner. IO is the authority in stealth and agent-oriented games, so they truly were a dream come true in terms of studios to partner with on James Bond.

They have a deep, deep passion for the IP, and they’re extraordinarily talented. It’s a match made in heaven, IO Interactive and James Bond, and we’re working on something we think is going to be very special for fans.
