Bungie has announced in its weekly update that Destiny’s Iron Banner will be returning to the shared-world shooter on April 26.
This latest run of the tough-as-nails PvP event will see Guardians battling it out on Clash, which pits teams of six against each other.
However, there’s also been some tweaks to Iron Banner in light of the recent April update for Destiny. Chiefly, Iron Banner gear now has a chance to drop at the end of every match, meaning you won’t have to wait until Rank 2 like before.
Here’s the list of changes to look forward too.
- Lord Saladin’s inventory has been updated with items at Ranks 3-5, some with re-rolled perks
- Rank package rewards have been adjusted:
- Increased Rank 3 package Artifact to 320 Light
- Increased Rank 5 package Ghost to 320 Light
- Rank 5 packages can now reward items from the current event
- Iron Banner Armor and Weapons can now be earned at Rank 0 at the end-of-activity
- Removed Legendary Engrams from the possible end-of-activity rewards list, creating a greater chance to receive Iron Banner specific items
- "Iron Domination" daily bounty now requires completing a match with a personal score of 1500 instead of winning a match with 2500
- "Iron Versatility" bounty now only requires 7 Heavy Weapon kills to complete
- Fixed an issue where players below Rank 5 could roll a reward they were ineligible for, resulting in no reward being given
- Fixed an issue where the Iron Banner ship was missing a part of its frame
Destiny was released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 in September 2014. The game has been supported by three expansion packs to date: The Dark Below, House of Wolves and The Taken King.
In recent months, Bungie has been offering time-based events to keep its fanbase entertained, such as the Halloween-themed Festival of the Lost, Sparrow Racing League and Valentine’s Day’s Crimson Days.
Publisher Activision announced earlier this year that a full expansion will be released in 2016. Furthermore, Destiny 2 is now in development and will be released at some point next year.
