PlayStation Vita has been waiting for a new release to give Japanese sales of the handheld a firm shot in the arm, but sadly, New Little King’s Story doesn’t appear to be it.
Developed by Marvelous Entertainment, the cutesy RTS only debuted at 19 with 7,141 sales, making it one of just two PS Vita games in the Top 20 – the other being Konami’s Pro Baseball Spirits.
Elsewhere, the high-definition re-release of Silent Hill 2 & 3 failed to set the charts alight, with the PS3 version of the classic horror bundle limping in at 15.
It was business as usual on the hardware front, with 3DS once again leading the pack followed by PS3, PSP and PS Vita.
