Japan: PSP sales spike, FFIV Complete Collection on top

PSP sales in Japan sky-rocketed on the back of Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection’s release last Friday, according to the latest MediaCreate figures.

Sony’s slab sold 50,479 units compared to 3DS’s 50,710, although technically you could say that PSP topped Nintendo’s handheld if you consider sales of PSPgo, which contributed an extra 616 units.

On the software front, Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection debut in first place selling over 100,000 units, with Dynasty Warriors 7 and Dissidia Duodecim: Final Fantasy bringing in another 36,548 and 21,741 units each, respectively.
