PlayStation Network is bringing the heat this summer with tons of new game releases, including Rainbow Moon, Clan of Champions, and Dungeon Twister. Now, add Jeremy McGrath’s Offroad to that list.
Developed by 2XL, a team that includes artists and programmers with experience in the MX vs. ATV series, Offroad is an arcade racing powerhouse that will run in 1080p at 60 frames-per-second. You’ll have a wide variety of offroad vehicles to choose from, and everything from a Lucas Oil-inspired career mode to robust competitive multiplayer will be waiting for you to conquer. Customization options will be unlocked as you play, and you’ll fly by your opponents in what 2XL calls "Liquid Color", a visual effect that kicks in when you reach top speed.
As a racing game in a summer lineup packed with RPGs, Jeremy McGrath’s Offroad could be something special. Even more special is the price. No word on Trophy support, but for $9.99, Offroad seems like a steal regardless. Check it out when the PS Store updates on June 26.
