Jim Ward, the voice actor behind Captain Qwark from the Ratchet & Clank franchise and a prolific voice across TV and video games, sadly passed away on December 10, 2025 aged 66.
News broke from Stephanie Miller, Ward’s radio colleague, who revealed she had received an email from Ward’s wife, who confirmed that the actor had passed away earlier that day. Ward had suffered from a number of health issues in recent years, having contracted a “severe case” of COVID-19 on 2021 and later displayed symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease, which left him unable to continue his voice work.
