Jurassic World Evolution 3 No Longer Using Generative AI Content After Negative Feedback

Waves of negative feedback regarding the use of generative AI in Jurassic World Evolution 3 has resulted in Frontier Developments confirming the content has been ditched.

In case you haven’t been keeping up with the game, Jurassic World Evolution 3’s Steam page revealed not long after the game’s announcement that generative AI was used to produce scientist portraits. Unsurprisingly, this didn’t sit well with fans, and one post in particular on Steam was pretty aggressive in its criticism, as seen below.

So we giving up on humans is that it? May as well not make a game, drink, sleep, walk, or do anything. Sad. It is quite literally inexpensive and the easiest thing to do by: picking up up the nearby paper, mechanical pencil or ink pen and get to drawing/designing. Seriously? Ya’ll are pathetic and that desperate where, you can’t possibly design things yourself but willing to bend over/glaze for the AI washing machine like a prostitute? Nope I will not support this, the lack of self awareness and appallingly low IQ.

Yesterday, a response from the development team confirmed that it will no longer be using generative AI for the portraits:

Thanks for your feedback on this topic. We have opted to remove the use of generative AI for scientist portraits within Jurassic World Evolution 3.

Jurassic World Evolution 3 is set to launch for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S on October 21, 2025.
