A new slice of Jurassic World Evolution DLC, titled the Secrets of Dr. Wu, will release on the 20th November, Frontier Developments has announced.
“Based on Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s blockbuster franchise, and created in collaboration with Universal, Jurassic World Evolution: Secrets of Dr. Wu expands the Jurassic World Evolution campaign with new missions and an all-new Jurassic World story”. Reads the official blurb.
Jurassic World Evolution DLC Features Plenty of New Content
Available for £12.99 in the UK and $14.99 in the US, The Secrets of Dr. Wu adds a raft of new content.
The most significant coming in the form of additional campaign missions that puts the player in control of two hidden research facilities on the infamous Isla Muerta and Isla Tacano, where Dr. Wu himself (voiced by BD Wong) is developing a new breed of hybrid dinosaurs. What could possibly go wrong?
Quite a lot, apparently. As Dr. Wu’s experiments will force players to confront an “elevated level of chaos and threat” as they work alongside him to “discover new dig sites, facility upgrades, and research opportunities”.
However, these new campaign missions are only accessible once the player has reached a four-star rating on Isla Muerta.
In addition to the campaign missions, the forthcoming Jurassic World Evolution DLC also introduces the herbivorous Olorotitan and the venomous Troodon. As well as three newly engineered hybrids: the Stegoceratops, Ankylodocus, and Spinoraptor.
Update 1.5
The Secrets of Dr. Wu won’t be the only new content arriving on the 20th November. Frontier Developments has also confirmed that the recently announced update 1.5 will be releasing alongside the DLC.
For those who missed the original announcement, update 1.5 adds a day/night cycle and high-capacity feeders, whilst also improving dinosaur behaviour.
Jurassic World Evolution released on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC back in June 2018. Receiving a solid 7/10 in the PSU review.
