Ken Masters struts his stuff in new Street Fighter 5 trailer

Capcom has unleashed a brand new Street Fighter V trailer for your consumption, this time shining the spotlight on series veteran, Ken Masters.

Street Fighter aficionados will already be instantly familiar with Ken, a character that has been featured in the venerable fighting franchise since its inception back in the late 80s. Along with his buddy Ryu, Ken is one of the most popular and enduring characters in the Street Fighter universe, and also turned up in the critically-panned 1994 movie adaptation.

Check out Ken in action below.

Street Fighter V is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4 and PC later this month. Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono has stressed that the game won’t be ported to any other system, going so far as to suggest Xbox One gamers save up and buy a PS4 if they want to play the game

Capcom has confirmed that the game will feature 16 characters from day-one, with more fighters rolling out later in the year. However, the company has attracted some criticism from fans for eschewing popular combatants such as Blanka and Sagat.

Ono-san has revealed that he has a five-year plan in store for Street Fighter V, although details of this are being kept under wraps. The previous game saw a number of re-releases, including Super Street Fighter IV and Ultra Street Fighter V, arriving a few years after the base game launched.

There’s also a PS4 hardware bundle lined up for the game, and Capcom will release a free story-based expansion this summer.
