Grasshopper Manufacture actioner Killer is Dead will receive a global release in 2013, the game’s executive producer, Yoshimi Yasuda, has confirmed.
News comes via an interview in the latest issue of Famitsu magazine, which also contains a few more details on the game courtesy of executive director Goichi Suda, aka Suda51.
According to Suda, Killer is Dead weaves a tale of love, life and death, with gamers controlling a professional killer known as the ‘executioner.’
Apparently, this deadly chap specialises in hunting down and eliminating S-rank criminals from around the world. Suda further added that the game is designed to look “brilliant” and appeal to a wide demographic.
Killer is Dead will feature swordplay in a similar manner to No More Heroes, and also shares similarities with Grasshopper’s cult classic Killer 7.
The game will be released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
