Kingdom Come: Deliverance II isn’t arriving on PS5 until February 4, 2025, but players looking forward to jumping right into it on launch can start to prepare their consoles now if they so choose.
Thanks to the ever-reliable PlayStationSize on X, we now know that developer Warhorse Studio’s new medieval RPG will take up a whopping 83.981GB on your console’s SSD. Might as well just call it 84GB.
You’ll be able to pre-load the game two days ahead of its release on February 2, 2025 if you’ve already pre-ordered it, so best to clear up space on your console sooner than later if you’re not already prepared for it.
While players on PS5 will be able to enjoy Kingdom Come: Deliverance II at a (hopefully smooth) 60 FPS, anyone whose put their holiday money towards a new PS5 Pro will be able to enjoy both 60 FPS and a 4K resolution thanks to Sony’s new upscaling solution, PSSR.
Those not playing on a PS5 Pro will have their resolution capped at 1440p. Which of course isn’t bad, it’s just not as sharp as 4K – though, hopefully it will be as sharp as promised.
There have been a number of PS5 Pro Enhanced games that actually made the experience worse than playing on a base-PS5. Hopefully that’s not Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, but it’s clear that developers are still working through the kinks of adjusting to the new hardware, and the new upscaling tech from PlayStation.
