Following the big day-one update of 23GB, there’s still a lot more work to do for developer to get its action-RPG in tip-top shape, but Kingdom Come Deliverance update 1.05 looks to address some of those issues.
Some of the glitches and current issues look to have affected some of the first Kingdom Come Deliverance review scores, which range from 8/10 right down to 4/10.
However, there’s some good news. Speaking on Twitter, Creative Director Daniel Vavra says that the team is working hard on fixing current bugs.
Kingdom Come Deliverance Update 1.03
He writes: “We are aware about the bugs that could happen and working hard on fixing them. Steam has latest patch already, console owners will get this patch (1.03 for PS4, 188.8.131.52 Xbox) ASAP. PS4 patches 1.01 & 1.02 are the same, the difference is only in territory”.
The Kingdom Come Deliverance Update 1.03 is now available to download on PS4 and it weights in at 13-16GB. This latest update looks to tackle various quest bugs and improve optimization.
Kingdom Come Deliverance Update 1.03 Patch Notes
The full list of release notes has yet to be released, but we do know it will tackle the following issues:
- Stealth and stealth kills adjusted
- People now get dirty more gradually
- Additional quest bugs fixed
- Various optimisations
It will also attempt to fix the problem that some users are experiencing with attempting to slash with the R2 button.
“Regarding the R2 issue – we are working on it, but it’s not [a] software issue,” said Warhorse Studios’ creative director, Daniel Vávra.
“If you facing this issue, then it seems your button lost some of its sensitivity. We will fix it asap by changing the input pressure value. But it’s interesting that it’s only this one button for everyone.” This fix should now be deployed in update 1.03.
Kingdom Come Deliverance Update 1.04
Vavra then explains that another patch will be coming in about two week’s time. Kingdom Come Deliverance update 1.04 he writes “will fix a lot of quest bugs and other issues like frame drops.”
Kingdom Come Deliverance has a lot of potential. We’re determined to play as much as possible before we produce our review, but so far we’re impressed with its ambition. As our editor-in-chief writes: “Essentially, it feels like a historian’s gaming take on the middle-ages, but one which leverages the template of Bethesda’s Elder Scrolls games as a lens with which to view it”.
Stay tuned for patch notes on the incoming Kingdom Come Deliverance update 1.03, and check out our first impressions.
