Kingdom Hearts 0.2: How to complete objective 18: Excellent Aim

There are two important points to note about this objective in Kingdom Hearts 0.2. First, you must have Shotlock charged up all the way to the maximum of 28 targets in order to try for bonus attacks and go for the Excellent ratings. Any less than 28 and you won’t be prompted. Second, you can get a maximum of 3 bonus attacks in a full Shotlock attack, meaning only 3 Excellent ratings in one go. Thus you must perform 2 perfect Shotlocks with bonus hits in a row.

The important thing here is timing. Once you’ve targeted the 28 points and executed the attack, a large ring will appear in front of the final target that shrinks down into a smaller ring. If you hit X too soon, before the big ring has shrunk enough, you’ll get a Good rating. Fail to hit X at all, it will say “Too Slow” and end your Shotlock immediately. You want to hit X when the big ring has shrunk to the size of the small ring, and that give you an Excellent rating.

If you received a Good of Excellent rating, the process will begin again, but the big ring will shrink a little faster. Aim for another Excellent, and it’ll happen for a third time, again moving slightly faster still. From there make sure your Focus gauge has filled completely before you perform your second Shotlock, because if you fail to reach 28 targets on the second attack, you won’t get try for the bonus hits, and the counter will reset.

It’s also worth noting that you don’t actually have to perform two completely successful Shotlocks, all with Excellent ratings. You simply need 6 Excellent ratings in a row. This means if with Shotlock #1 you get Good, Good, Excellent, and Shotlock #2 you get Excellent, Excellent, Excellent, you only need to make sure the first two hits with the third Shotlock are Excellent to clinch it.
