Knuckles Paramount Plus Series Is Now In Production, Jeff Fowler To Direct Pilot Episode

Paramount Plus has announced details on its upcoming live-action Knuckles series, which is now confirmed to take place between the events of the movies Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3.

Adam Pally is set to reprise his role of Wade Whipper, the hapless sheriff from the Sonic movies, with Knuckles set to train him as his protege. Pally will be joined by Edi Patterson, Julian Barratt, Scott Mescudi, Ellie Taylor, Rory McCann, and Tika Sumpter.

The Knuckles series is now gearing up for production in London and Jeff Fowler, who helmed both Sonic movies, will be hopping into the director’s chair once more to oversee the series’ pilot episode. Meanwhile, the pilot was written by John Whittington, who also penned the screenplay for Sonic the Hedgehog 2, with other writing contributions coming from Brian Schacter and James Madejski.

The third Sonic the Hedgehog movie is slated to arrive in cinemas on December 20, 2024.
