Konami Announces New Studio In Osaka, Will Be Its New “Major Production Center”

As Konami celebrates its 50 year anniversary this year and has finally been putting some of its classic IP to use again, it has also announced a new studio based in Osaka, Japan, that is set to be the company’s new “major production center.”

Konami Osaka Studio has been set up with a motion capture studio and sound studios that are “necessary for product development.” Konami called its concept for the new buildings construction being “Creators First.”

This new studio is already up and running, having officially opened just last week on March 27, 2023, and its not the new Konami facility.

A new research and development focused space for the “next-generation,” Konami Creative Front Tokyo Bay is set to be completed by 2025, with construction already underway.

While it had been a long time since we’d had anything new coming from Konami, specifically around some of its biggest IPs, that’s all beginning to change, first with new Silent Hill games on the way.

Hopefully this new space will help keep the company’s momentum going as it begins to re-establish itself in the industry.
