Scottish studio NoCode is developing Silent Hill Townfall, a brand new instalment in the long-running psychological horror franchise, Konami announced during the Silent Hill Transmission broadcast today.
There’s not much known about the game right now, but the trailer features a voiceover that mentions someone being in the town and awaiting punishment. There’s also flashes of what appears to be gameplay that indicates that Silent Hill Townfall will be presented in a first-person perspective.

Jon McKellan, Creative Director at NoCode, commented:
I remember playing the original Silent Hill on PS1 back in 1999, and became a fan from that moment on. It’s a real honour for us to bring a new title to this series that both respects the source material but also does something a little bit different with it.
We can’t wait to come back in the new year and show you more. Until then, it might be worth watching that trailer again and see what you might have missed.
Silent Hill Townfall is currently in development for as-yet undisclosed platforms and has yet to attract a release date.
