Konami delisted from the New York Stock Exchange

Konami announced today that it’s delisted itself on the New York Stock Exchange have been delisted as of April 24, 2015.

There have been a lot of restructuring and shake-ups at the Konami recently. Last month saw the demoting of Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima from the executive board and a reported falling out between the two. Just this morning, Konami confirmed the cancellation of the survival horror game Silent Hills that Kojima and film director Guillermo del Toro.

The deregistration from the NYSE will go into effect on July 12 with their obligations under the Exchange Act on July 23. The Japanese company found "the continued listing on the NYSE is not economically justified."

Konami maintains its listings on the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the London Stock Exchange. Shares can still be traded via the over-the-counter market, like Capcom and Bandai Namco.
