Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is not just heading to Xbox Live Arcade. Yes, the downloadable single-player adventure is heading first to XBLA on Aug. 18, but it’s also heading to the PlayStation Network and PC (via Steam) on Sept. 28.
The Xbox version will get a free update that includes two player online co-op, leaderboards, and voice chat functionality. Then, from October to December, five downloadable packs will be made available across all formats: PS3, PC, and Xbox 360.
The first three expansions feature new puzzles, exploration and combat in new areas, while the last two packs area playable character packs, providing gamers with the chance to experience the entire adventure without Lara Croft. Characters will be replaced with “well-known videogame characters.”
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is a fully downloadable arcade game based on Lara Croft, go figure, and includes a new isometric view, a new single player adventure, and the franchise’s first two player offline cooperative play mode. The game will cost $14.99 USD.
