The latest Hogwarts Legacy patch notes come with a number of key improvements for the Wizarding World RPG, but they don’t mention something that is likely to please a lot of people – there’s now far less chatter from Ignatia Wildsmith!
In case you haven’t picked up the game, Hogwarts Legacy uses Floo Flames as fast travel, which were invented by Wildsmith. Every time you use Floo Flames, you’re treated to some nattering by Wildsmith, which tends to get a little annoying and repetitive after a while.
However, Avalanche Software community boss Chandler Wood confirmed on Twitter that these have been significantly toned down in the latest Hogwarts Legacy update.
Reduced the frequency of Ignatia Wildsmith’s lines (a significant reduction), so while travel is definitely more convenient with Floo powder, you won’t have to hear about it constantly.
Hogwarts Legacy was released on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S on February 10, 2023. You can read our full review here. The Wizarding World RPG has become a massive success since its debut last month, and is already on the verge of surpassing Elden Ring’s UK sales.
In addition to its success in the UK, Hogwarts Legacy’s launch sales in Europe were bigger than every Call of Duty game released since 2017.
