Latest PS Vita update causing major problems, Sony working on a fix

Reports are circulating that the most recent system software update for PlayStation Vita is causing PlayStation Store connectivity issues and battery drain.

The patch notes confirm that update v3.57 was released in order to discontinue the Facebook feature on PS Vita.

Users can’t access PlayStation Store

On Reddit and NEOgaf users claim they cannot access the PlayStation Store, but are stuck in an endless loop with the message ‘Please Wait,’ before timing out.

Other reported issues since the update include faster battery drain and the inability to play downloaded games and DLC content.

According to one Reddit user, Sony confirmed that it’s aware of the issue and working on a fix.

Original_Sedawk wrote a transcription of his conversation with Sony Customer Service, which ends with the PlayStation representative saying:

“I have been doing a research for you, and yes, we have been experiencing some  issues with the PS store for PS Vita as you already know. I apologize for this inconvenience.  We are aware of this situation, and we are still working hard in order to fix it as soon as possible. In the meantime, I will escalate your case for a review.  I am totally sorry for this inconvenience.”
