At this year’s PlayStation Tokyo Game Show (TGS) media briefing, Square Enix unveiled "Left Alive" — a survival action shooter that’s being made by the director of Armored Core Toshifumi Nabeshima and Metal Gear artist Yoji Shinkawa. While we did get a reveal trailer at the event, the proper TGS 2017 announcement trailer is here and it looks fantastic!
Prepare for a slow intro, and stay with it, since near the end, we get a brief few seconds of Left Alive gameplay and it looks amazing.
"Veteran developers, Toshifumi Nabeshima (director, Armored Core series), Yoji Shinkawa (character designer, METAL GEAR series), and Takayuki Yanase (mech designer, Ghost in the Shell: Arise, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Xenoblade Chronicles X) join forces to create LEFT ALIVE’s dark and gritty world."
Unfortunately, the announcement that it’s being made by Nabeshima and Shinkawa are all the info we have right now. We do know that Left Alive is set for release sometime in 2018 for the PlayStation 4 and PC, but that’s kinda it.
Not sure if it’s just me, but I really liked what I saw. Let’s hope this dream pairing knocks it out of the park.
