Legacy of Kain fans have reason to celebrate as the first all-new entry in the franchise is in development, and launching on March 31, 2026. It’s called Legacy of Kain: Ascendance, and is launching for PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X/S, publisher Crystal Dynamics has announced.
Developed by Bit Bot Media, Legacy of Kain: Ascendance offers multiple protagonists including Raziel prior to his fall as a human Sarafan knight, as well as taking to the skies in his vampiric form for the first time. Meanwhile, Vampire Elaleth offers a more aggressive playstyle that channels relentless offence. Set in the dark fantasy world of Nosgoth, players will be able to soak up a new narrative told through animated cut scenes while taking part in gameplay brought to life with vibrant, pixel art visuals.
Featuring a score composed by Celldweller, Legacy of Kain: Ascendance reunites the classic cast including Michael Bell, Simon Templeman, Richard Doyle, and Anna Gunn. In terms of combat, you’ll chain melee strikes, avoid attacks with evasive dashes, and deliver powerful supernatural-charged attacks in fluid, deadly motion.
Legacy of Kain: Ascendance is out on March 31 for PS5, PC, Switch, Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S.
