There's some new LEGO games incoming later this year, namely LEGO Incredibles and LEGO DC Villains.
First leaked on Comicbook.com, and confirmed by Eurogamer, LEGO Incredibles is confirmed for release in June to coincide with the release of The Incredibles 2 movie.
According to a source, reportedly from Warner Bros, the brick-smashing game will cover the events of the first two Incredibles movies. They’ll also be some LEGO sets launching alongside the release of The Incredibles. Pixar’s animated movie follows a family of superheroes, who are forced to hide their superhero powers from the public.
New LEGO games coming in 2018
The LEGO DC Villains game isn't its confirmed name, but we do know that TT Games are working on a title that will feature some of the comic-book series most famous villains, which are said to include The Joker, Lex Luthor and Harley Quinn. It's rumoured that it might be called LEGO DC Supervillains.
The last LEGO game to feature a licensed property was LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2, which launched in November last year. Other LEGO games include LEGO Batman, LEGO Jurassic World and Lego Marvel's Avengers.
In a departure from the concept of previous action-adventure LEGO games, the TT also revealed LEGO Worlds last year, which adopts a sandbox environment and allows players to build constructions.
In LEGO Incredibles and LEGO DC Villains, we'd expect a return to the tried-and-tested formula of most of the games from the immensely popular franchise.
