Movie company Lionsgate has made a significant investment in Telltale Games, the makers of the hit adaptations of The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us.
The investment was large enough to have a Lionsgate executive put on the board of directors at Telltale, and there is now talk of the duo creating an as-yet undisclosed ‘’TV Supershow’’ that will have both episodic games and television that combine to tell the full story of each episode.
Telltale is currently in the middle of working through both Game of Thrones and Tales from the Borderlands as well as being in the early stages of developing a Minecraft project for Mojang.
The investment seems like a sound move to sya the least, and should give Telltale more resources and contacts and hopefully pays for a better version of their notoriously buggy game engine.
