Little Big Planet Vita dev announces Hunger, a PS4 exclusive adventure

After creating costumes and objects for Little Big Planet (LBP) and LBP 2, and then developing the Vita instalment of the much-loved platforming franchise, Tarsier Studios next project is a step in a totally new direction. This week, the Swedish developer was awarded 500,000 Danish Kroner (67,000 EUR or $91,736.50) from the Nordic Game Program to aid in the development of Hunger.

From a post on the developer’s website: “‘Hunger is a third-person 3D action adventure game with stealth and exploration elements. A nine-year old girl named Six is kidnapped from her home and taken to work in The Maw – a surreal underwater resort catering to the whims of the powerful elite. When an unexpected twist of fate offers her a chance at freedom, Six takes a journey through the bizarre and unpredictable world of The Maw, and catches a glimpse at the corrupt heart of modern happiness."

Former Community Coordinator (now a developer for Tarsier) Simon Rosenkötter posted in the comments section of the blog post that the studio’s goal is to release Hunger as a downloadable title for PlayStation 4. No release window was given.
