Speaking on the news, Dragami Games CEO and President, Shohei Sato, commented:

13 years ago, the work LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW, created with great passion and creativity by the development team at that time, has received a lot of support and patronage from fans for many years. We are deeply grateful for this and are truly moved. In order to further develop this work and meet the expectations of our fans, we have made the important decision to develop the IP of “LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW” as Dragami Games.

The NADA HOLDINGS team has a deep attachment and passion for this work, and has a rich track record in IP investment and development. Through this partnership, we are very excited to be able to create a project that will create new value while inheriting the spirit and charm of the original.

Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is a remake of the original 2012 title on PS3 and Xbox 360, which was developed by Grasshopper Manufacturer. This spruced up version of the original game offers two modes – Original and RePop – the former of which offers a near-identical experience to the PS3 edition. RePOP was release for PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X/S in September 2024.

Starring cheerleader Juliet Starling (Tara Strong), Lollipop Chainsaw takes the form of an action hand-‘n-slash romp where players mow down undead in stylish fashion around a fictional California high school. Along the way you’ll rescue classmates while accumulating medals to spend at the Chop2Shop.zom store, where you can snap up new moves and combos and boost your stats. The game has since become a cult following despite its lukewarm reception on its original release.
